American sports commentator Skip Bayless, who is a popular LeBron James critic, has recently credited Los Angeles Lakers vice president of basketball operations and general manager, Rob Pelinka for their win over Ja Morant's Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA Playoffs. The Lakers are now qualified for the Western Conference semifinals, where they will face the winners between Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings.

LeBron James-led Lakers defeated the Grizzlies 4-2 in the NBA Western Conference Playoffs, first round on Friday night and clinched the semifinals berth. While LeBron averaged 22.2 points per game, Anthony Davis led the Lakers in rebounds per game with 13.6 rebounds per game, and D'Angelo Russell led the assists with 6.2 assists per game in the playoffs.

After the Lakers eliminated the Grizzlies on Friday night, fans and experts flooded social media with their reactions as Skip Bayless took to his official Twitter handle and appreciated Rob Pelinka's transfers on the trade deadline and wrote, "I have liked this Laker team since the trade deadline. Pieces fit. No more Russ or PatBev. This works. Rob Pelinka, Executive of the Year."

Meanwhile, defending champions Golden State Warriors lost their last game against the Kings and will face them at the Golden 1 Center for their seventh game of the playoff series on Sunday, April 30. The winner between the two teams will face Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals.
