The ongoing U-19 World Cup has once again proven to be a successful extravaganza for Indian cricket. Men in Blue, who have made a habit of reaching the finals, continued the trend this year as well as they defeated Australia quite comprehensively in the semi-final on Wednesday. And once again, it was the captain who led from the front.

With his side in trouble at 37/2, Yash Dhull came and played a mesmerizing knock of 110 runs off 110 deliveries to help India post a competitive total of 290/5 in 50 overs, which eventually proved to be too much for the Aussies. The India U-19 captain smashed 10 fours and 1 six and played some astonishing shots during his brilliant knock.

India's experienced off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also seemed to have been quite impressed with the youngster's knock as he tweeted, "The captain Yash Dhull brings up his first hundred and I am sure it’s just the start of a wonderful journey."

However, one of the users on Twitter was quick to sarcastically point out that Yash's career should not go the Unmukt Chand way.

Notably, Chand was the captain of India U-19 team during 2012 WC and had hit a similarly brilliant century against Australia in final of the mega event.

However, his career did not turn out the way he would have expected as he recently announced his retirement from Indian cricket and migrated to USA.

But Ashwin, just like his classy way, replied that we must promote optimism as he also added an emoji with starry red eyes to re-establish the fact that he doesn't wish to engage in any pessimistic conversations.

While Ashwin is very hopeful about the future of Yash Dhull, the youngster will indeed take this confidence and make everyone proud as he gets set to lead Team India in the upcoming U-19 WC Final against England on February 5, Saturday.
