Notably, the 34-year-old is set to play against Pakistan in the Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2023, at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, on September 10, Sunday. He is yet to set the stage alight for the team in the continental cricket tournament, scoring only four runs in his single solitary innings, before getting castled by Shaheen Afridi in the Group A match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
