Fans took to social media to react to Mitchell Starc’s bowling prowess in the IPL 2024 Final. After two months of thrilling cricketing action, curtains came down on the IPL 2024, aka, ‘India ka Tyohaar’. After 70 dramatic league-stage games and three knockout matches, the finalists of the season, Kolkata Knight Riders clashed against SunRisers Hyderabad on May 26, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to put score on the board first.
The two-time winner, KKR, who came on the back of two wins over SRH in the current season, seemed confident right from the beginning. Hyderabad’s openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head who emerged as the team’s USP in the tournament failed to deliver in the summit clash. Sharma went down to Mitchell Starc on the fifth ball of the first over while the Orange Army lost Travis Head in the next over on a golden duck.
Starc, who became the most expensive purchase in the history of the IPL, destroyed rivals’ batting lineup. Fans took to X to react to Starc’s bowling prowess and lead the bowler.
KKR aim for their third IPL title, whereas SRH wish to make their IPL trophy count two.
