Italian giants Juventus hosted Portuguese club Benfica Lisbon in their UEFA Champions League 2022-23 tie on Wednesday at the Allianz Stadium. Ahead of the fixture, Formula 1 racer for Scuderia Ferrari, Charles Leclerc, met Juventus star midfielder Paul Pogba and swapped shirts.

Juventus faced a frustrating home defeat against Benfica Lisbon despite leading the game in early stages with Arek Milik's 4th minute goal. However, Benfica's Joao Mario and David Neres scored a goal in each half to win their second consecutive UCL game.

Before the Wednesday's match between Juventus and Benfica, Charles Leclerc, who appeared to support the Italian side, met Paul Pogba and both the stars exchanged shirts and posed together as Juventus tweeted a picture of the two stars.

After starting on the pole position, the 24-year-old Charles Leclerc was a no match for Red Bull's Max Verstappen's speed and finished second behind the world championship leader in the Italian GP. This was  Verstappen's first victory at Monza, which helped him to extend his championship lead over Leclerc to 116 points with six races remaining.

On the other side, Paul Pogba returned to Turin from Premier League club Manchester United this summer. Pogba had suffered a meniscus injury that forced him to miss the majority of the season with Juventus as he was in the stand to support his team against Benfica on Wednseday.
