Konero Humpy and Divya Deshmukh once again ended in a draw in the second contest between them in the FIDE Women’s Chess World Cup final. Now, the winner will be decided by a tie-breaker on Monday July 28. It turned out to be an intense game between Humpy and Divya in Batumi on Sunday as both the players were giving a tough fight to each other throughout the match.

In the first game played between Divya Deshmukh and Koneru Humpy on Saturday, July 26, it turned out to be a tense game. Rising star Divya gave a tough fight to Humpy and the game ended in a draw after 41 moves. Now, the second game between both the players also ended in a draw leading another tie-breaker on Monday.

Divya Deshmukh and Koneru Humpy settle for draw after 27 moves

A total of 27 moves were played in the second game of FIDE Women’s World Cup final between Divya Deshmukh and Koneru Humpy. There were also some quick moves during the end which helped Divya to get a pawn advantage. In the end, Divya went on to look at all the possible moves and went on to go for a draw. After that, Humpy also agrees for a draw after looking at her chances.

Before ending the game for a draw, Divya and Humpy went for a three-fold repetition as their final moves. Now, back-to-back two games have ended in a draw between Divya Deshmukh and Koneru Humpy in the final of the FIDE Women’s Chess World Cup. Now, both will meet again in another tie-breaker on Monday, July 28.
