On Wednesday, June 11, top Premier League club, Manchester City announced their squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2025, which is scheduled to be played from June 14 till July 13 in the United States of America. The Pep Guardiola managed side will be without their key players in Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker, both of whom have been snubbed from the 27-member travelling list.
While Grealish’s omission doesn’t come a surprise as it was anticipated after the midfielder fell down the pecking order after playing a huge role in their treble in 2023. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder made only seven starts in the 2024-25 Premier League campaign and wasn’t called in City’s 0-1 defeat against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final in May 2025.
