In yet another huge blow to Brazil, the duo of Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles have been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament. The news first came to the fore after Globo Esporte report stated that both of them sustained injuries during Brazil's 0-1 defeat to Cameroon in their Group G faceoff which has ruled them out of the tournament.

It is being learnt that both the players had to undergo tests to determine the extent of their injuries after which it was known that it is unlikely that they will play any further part in the competition. This is a massive blow to one of the title favourites who are already hoping for a quick recovery of their talismanic forward Neymar who was ruled out of their Group Stage matches after picking up an injury in the first match.

While Gabriel has reportedly picked up a muscle tear, Telles collided with a Cameroon player and might need surgery to recover.
