Preview:

England and Wales will lock horns in a crucial Group B encounter at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium. Both British teams enter this fixture after disappointing results. The Welshmen suffered a 2-0 defeat against Iran. While the Three Lions had to settle for a frustrating 0-0 draw against the USA.

Team news:

England:

No new injuries were reported for the English team.

Wales:

No new injuries were reported for the Welsh time.

Analysis:

Tournament favourites England couldn’t produce a commanding performance against the USA in their previous fixture. The Three Lions were defensively top-notch with the Manchester United duo Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire putting up stellar performances. But the English attack immensely struggled with the likes of Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Bukayo Saka failing to find the back of the net.

Whereas Wales was stunned by Carlos Queiroz’s Iran side, who after a gruelling deadlock managed to score twice and win the game. The Dragons certainly looked like the worse team as they couldn’t create chances and contain the Iranian counter-attack. Once against Wales would want their captain Gareth Bale to rescue them in another do-or-die situation.
