The biggest event of cricket, the  ICC ODI World Cup 2023  is set to commence on October 5, Thursday. The two-time world champions, India, will host the forthcoming season. The tournament's inaugural will be the ICC ODI World Cup 2019 final rematch, where reigning champions England will square off against New Zealand at the  Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

While fans from across the globe are excited to see their players play live, a few are looking forward to enjoying their favourite cricketers playing their last World Cup. Here are five players we think are going to play their last ICC ODI World Cup.

David Warner

Australian opener  David Warner has laid down his plans regarding retirement, and according to them, he is set to draw curtains from all three formats of the game by next year. As per Warner, he will play his last ODI game for the Baggy Greens in the forthcoming marquee event.

Warner has been an absolute match-winner for his side, and in the previous edition of the ICC event, he scored a total of 647 runs in 10 innings. The Aussie cricketer fell just one run short of Rohit Sharma, who became the highest run-scorer in the tournament.
