The Free Fire Esports World Cup 2024, ogranised by Garena and ESL, is all set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The tournament, featuring teams from across the world competing against each other, will begin from July 10 to 14, 2024. The forthcoming tournament will feature a prize pool of $1 million, and the amount will be split between all 18 qualifying teams. Apart from this, the champion of the tournament will also get to qualify for the Free Fire World Series 2024 Global Finals (FFWS).
The registrations for the regional qualifiers have already begun in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The top performers from the qualifiers will advance to the ultimate Free Fire Esports World Cup 2024. The entire tournament is split into two phases, the Group Stage and the Playoffs. While the Group Stage will take place from July 10 to July 12, the Playoffs will take place on July 13 and July 14.
As mentioned, the eventual champions won’t only get the biggest share from the prize pool, but will also get direct entry in the FFWS 2024 Global Finals taking place in Brazil in November 2024. Speaking of the slot distributions, a total of 18 teams will participate in the competition, which has been categorised based on geographical qualifiers.
- FFWS SEA Spring: 8 teams will participate from Southeast Asia, and will compete for a prize share of $300k.
- FFWS LATAM and FFWS Brazil: The top three teams from each region will participate in the World Cup.
- Snapdragon Pro Series: The series will take place in Brazil and will have 12 clubs competing for two spots in the World Cup.
- MEA and Pakistan Qualifiers: One team from each region will send one team for the World Cup.
