Popular Indian model Poonam Pandey revealed reaction of the then skipper of Indian cricket team MS Dhoni to her strop promise during the ICC ODI World Cup 2011. Pandey said that Dhoni reacted casually to her promise that she would strip if India won the 2011 edition of the marquee tournament. Poonam, who has time and again made headlines with her controversial stints, disclosed that the former Indian wicketkeeper-batter said that it would add ‘spice’ to the game.
For the unversed, the model-turned-influencer had promised to strip if India won the ICC event 2011 before the final. However, later in 2015, Mint quoted her saying that it was just a ‘publicity stunt’. India, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, put an end to their 28-year-long ODI trophy drought. Poonam recently appeared on a podcast, where she made a shocking revelation about MS Dhoni.

The Bollywood actress revealed Dhoni’s reaction and said, “MS Dhoni said game mein thoda spice hona chahiye.” Notably, Pandey has time and again made headlines with several controversies. Earlier this year, Poonam’s manager claimed that she had died of cervical cancer. However, it was later turned out to be another publicity stunt to spread awareness about the fatal disease.
During the 2019-21 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, Pandey told Spotboye, “Cricket chalu hai? log cricket khel rahe hain? And if it is happening should I again say that I will strip if India wins this time? I have no clue about this. I will go back home. I will check and think of controversy if possible."
