The former ITEC Knights bowler  Gerald Coetzee is a South African cricketer who also plays for the Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket 2023. Coetzee has formerly played for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He has also been capped for South Africa at test and ODI level in the last year.  Considered one of the brightest bowling talents to come out of South Africa, he played for South Africa at U-19 level before joining the Knights. 


In 2021, he was drafted by the Rajasthan Royals to replace Liam Livingstone. In this year’s inaugural SA20 league in South Africa, Gerald Coetzee played for the Joburg Super Kings and put together a top-notch season. The 21-year-old  pipped Pretoria Capitals' Anrich Nortje as the leading wicket-taker of the tournament.
