The Rohit Sharma-led Team India will take on their England rivals in the final Test of the five-match series in Dharamsala. The fifth Test is scheduled to be played from March 7 to 11 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium with India already pocketing the series after their five-wicket win in Ranchi Test.
With the final Test just a night away, skipper Rohit Sharma dropped a hilarious comment after Ben Duckett claimed Yashasvi Jaiswal’s style of play synonymous to England’s ‘Bazball’. “There was a guy called Rishabh Pant in our team, probably Ben Duckett hasn’t seen him play,” Rohit Sharma hilariously responded at the pre-match press conference, leaving everyone in splits.
Earlier, the English opener had said as quoted by India Today, “When you see player from the opposition playing like that, it almost feels like we should take some credit that they’re playing differently than how other people play Test cricket.” “We saw it a bit in the summer and it’s quite exciting to see other players and other teams are also playing aggressive style of cricket,” he further added.
I just don’t know what Bazball means: Rohit Sharma
Speaking at the press conference ahead of the fifth Test against England in Dharamsala, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma also spoke of the much talked about term ‘Bazball’. However, the 36-year-old clearly stated that he is not aware what Bazball actually means.
“I just don’t know what Bazball means. I haven’t seen wild swinging from anyone. England have played better cricket than they were here last time. But I still don’t know what Bazball means,” Rohit said the pre-match presser.
