The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suffered their second defeat in IPL 2024 as they lost to SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by six wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday, April 5. Despite their defeat, it was all-rounder Shivam Dube, who once again hogged the limelight for his knock of 45 runs.

His knock of 24-ball 45 also got noticed by the former Indian cricketer and World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh. The 42-year-old backed Dube to be selected in the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Taking to social media, the former India all-rounder captioned the post, “Good to watch @IamShivamDube clearing the field with ease !! I feel he has to be in the World Cup squad. Has got the skill to be the #gamechanger #CSKvsSRH #IPLT20”.

This motivating message from Yuvraj Singh did not go unnoticed as Dube expressed himself by replying, “Thank you for the kind words”.

The 30-year-old has so far featured in four matches for CSK in IPL 2024. In as many matches, he has amassed 148 runs at a strike rate of 160.86 and an average of 49.33.
