David Mokwa is a young prospect in the French National team. The 21-year-old currently plays for the Bundesliga team TSG Hoffenheim as a defender. The French International has worked hard and risen through the ranks of the Bundesliga team from their academy to the reserve team of Hoffenheim. The 21-year-old impressed the club with his performances and eventually started to make appearances for the Senior team. Mokwa made his Bundesliga debut for Hoffenheim on January 18, 2025, coming on as a late substitute.

David Mokwa scored his first goal for Hoffenheim in the UEFA Europa League on January 23, 2025, against Tottenham. Which eventually forced the club to extend his time at the club and they extended their contact with him until 2027 in the month of January. The club now feels that he could be the next best thing at Hoffenheim. According to the latest developments from Fabrizio Romano, TSG Hoffenheim have now agreed another new deal for the young French International which will see him remain at the club until the year 2029.

Hoffenheim prematurely extend the contract of Mokwa once again after an extension in January 2025: Reports

David Mokwa has scored 22 goals in the 36 youth matches that he has played for the youth team of TSG Hoffenheim. His further extension at the club until 2029 was a rare move by the German club for a young player in a competitive Bundesliga market. The French International’s current premature extension of the contract determines the club’s strategy of locking in talent early, as seen with past stars like Vedad Ibisevic.

The Ligue 1 club Angers SCO were reportedly keen on signing the 21-year-old young prodigy from Hoffenheim. However, with the extension of Mokwa’s contract at the Bundesliga club, these links of the potential transfer have been completely ruled out. TSG Hoffenheim will hope that this extension continues to boost the strength of the squad and lead the club to have a successful campaign.
