As team India is gearing up to play its first ODI of a three-match series against England on Thursday, there is an unexpected change in the squad. Star batsman Virat Kohli has been ruled out from the squad due to a knee injury. This announcement came just after the toss session when skipper Rohit Sharma announced that Virat would miss the game. Rohit stated, "It's very important to get some game time, try and maximize whatever opportunity we have. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Harshit Rana are making his debut, unfortunately, Virat isn't playing, he had a knee problem last night."

This is the first time Kohli will miss an international match since the Centurion Test in South Africa in 2022. However, the knee injury appears to be a minor ailment, and Kohli may return to action for the second match in Cuttack. In this article, we will see how many ODIs Virat Kohli missed due to injury after his debut.
