The inaugural edition of the NBA In-Season Tournament, also known as NBA Cup, has been a rousing success with the Los Angeles Lakers vs Indiana Pacers set to be the final on December 9 at the T-Mobile Arena. The championship-winning team is going to have each of their players receiving $500,000 from the $7.5 million prize pool.

Although the two-way players on the NBA In-Season Tournament champions will get $250,000, just half the amount in comparison to the players on standard contracts. The players from the runners-up team in the inaugural edition of this league will be receiving $200,000 in prize money.
Notably, the head coaches are set to take home the same amount as their players, which is why the NBA In-Season Tournament holds such high value for everyone involved in it. Also, the assistant coaches will earn an additional share of the total prize pool, which is 75% of the winning amount of the head coaches.
NBA In-Season Tournament 2023 Final - Los Angeles Lakers vs Indiana Pacers
The Los Angeles Lakers and the Indiana Pacers will be playing the first-ever final of the NBA In-Season Tournament at a neutral venue, the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Lakers are arriving to the big game on the back of a massive victory against the New Orleans Pelicans by 133-89 in the semi-final, while the Pacers brushed aside the Milwaukee Bucks with a margin of 128-119 in the other knockout game.

LeBron James has had a highly impressive run to the final with the Lakers in the NBA In-Season Tournament, scoring 26.8 ppg, 8.2 apg, and 7.5 rpg, along with 30 or more points in the quarter-final and semi-final rounds. Tyrese Haliburton, the NBA All-Star this year, has been the top performer for the Indiana Pacers, notching up 27.8 ppg, 13.6 apg, and 5.5 rpg, to produce a decisive performance on December 9.
