Polish tennis star Hubert Hurkacz was pulled out of the upcooming Paris Olympics 2024, citing health issues. Hubert Hurkacz was set to partner up with fellow Polish star Iga Swiatek in the Mixed Doubles at the 2024 Summer Games. But with this withdrawal from the event, Swiatek could be seen teaming up with Jan Zieliński, but no confirmation has been made.

Hubi was set to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles but now the World Number 7 will be supporting his nation from home. Hurkacz suffered a knee injury during the recently concluded Wimbledon in the single's clash against Arthur Fils. The Polish star  injured his right knee after attempting a dive at the net.

Since then he has been working to come back for the Olympics but the recovery went unsuccessful as he released a video on Instagram confirming his withdrawal. The video, the World Number 7 said,  "My rehabilitation is going very well, and I'm making continuous progress. However, my team and I have decided that I'm not able to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris."

This was a very, very difficult decision because I have always dreamed of representing Poland at the Olympics, being able to win a medal for the national team, but unfortunately, my health does not allow it this year.  Of course, I will be watching and cheering for the entire Polish team and following their performance, wishing them as many medals as possible," Hurkacz added.
