“You’ve got to score runs. I’ve always said the (T20) World Cup would probably be my final game. I probably owe it to myself and my family if I can score runs here (in England to) continue to play back in Australia,” the former Australia captain detailed his future plans before taking part in the WTC final against India at The Oval in London in June earlier this year.
Notably, David Warner scored 535 runs in 11 innings at an average of 48.63 and a strike-rate of 108.29 with two hundreds and two fifties, to play a critical role in helping Australia win the ODI World Cup for the sixth time on Sunday, November 19.
