Team India prevailed in a thrilling encounter against traditional arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday evening in Dubai. The two times met for the first time in 10 months since the T20 World Cup 2021 at the same venue in Dubai as Rohit Sharma & Co. perfectly avenged their defeat in last encounter. Hardik Pandya powered Men in Blue to a five wicket victory over Pakistan to kick start their T20 Asia Cup 2022 campaign.
Post-match, Momin Saqib, who is a popular Pakistan meme star met Indian batter Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya and congratulated both for their superb performance in the match. The meme star told Virat Kohli that he is bit sad of team's result but hoping for yet another encounter between both teams in the final game.
Momin Saqib said, "Aaj thoda sad hainge lekin koi ni final katthe khedange (I am bit sad but hope we will meet once again in the final)," to which Kohli replied saying, "Yeh ta chalda rehnda, good to see you (These things happen, good to see you."
Meanwhile, Saqib lauded Hardik Pandya for leading debutant Gujarat Titans to title triumph in IPL 2022 and then making a remarkable comeback at international stage including 'Player of the Match' performance in mega-clash against Pakistan.
Notably, Virat Kohli stitched crucial 49-run stand with Rohit Sharma for the second wicket and added 35-runs off 34 deliveries during India's run chase. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya delivered dominating performance in the match as he picked three wickets in the first innings, followed by match-winning knock of 33-runs in 17 balls in second innings. The Indian all-rounder also smashed a match-winning six in the last over of the match.
