Although Virat Kohli is going to be a crucial member of India's Asia Cup 2022 squad, wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has made an interesting revelation about the ex-India captain. While it is a known fact that Kohli tries to get under the skin of the opposition through the various antics he does on the field including having a bit of verbal exchange, Pant disclosed that sometimes Kohli's anger scares his own teammate.
In a video shared by the Pant-led Delhi Capitals, he stated that while he is not afraid of anything it is the anger of Kohli that scares him at times. "I am not scared of anyone but Virat Bhaiya ke gusse se dar lagta hai (I'm scared of Virat Kohli's anger)," Pant said.
"If you are doing everything correctly, then why should he (Kohli) get angry? But if you make a mistake and someone gets angry with you, it's good because you only learn from your mistakes," said Pant.
Nevertheless, both would be vital cogs in the wheel of the Indian team as they set out to conquer Asia with the Asia Cup 2022 set to commence on August 27. India will play their first game against Pakistan on August 28 at the Dubai Internatinal Stadium- the same venue where the arch-rivals met in the T20 World Cup 2021.
However, while on that occasion, Kohli-led India had succumbed to an embarrassing 10-wicket defeat, this time around, Rohit Sharma-led India in which Kohli will have a significant role to play would look to avenge that loss.
