
Nepal have announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. Rohit Paudel will captain the side an they have picked a well-balanced squad. The T20 World Cup starts on February 7 and will go on till March 8. Nepal made it to this event after qualifying from the Asia Qualifiers last October. Dipender Singh Airee has been named the vice-captain of the side. Nepal has plenty of fan support wherever they travel and this the second consecutive time Nepal has qualified for WT20 event. They have gone with their strength which is spin and there are plenty of spinners and all-rounders in the squad.
23-year-old Rohit Paudel has been impressive with his captaincy. Their batting will revolve around the aggressive Kushal Bhurtel who will open the batting, Aasif Sheikh, Rohit and Sundeep Jora form a strong core in the batting lineup while all-rounders Dipender Singh Airee and Gulshan Jha will also be key lower down the order.
Sompal Kami will spearhead the pace bowling attack with KC Karan and they have picked up Sher Malla in the squad. Sher Malla had an impressive Nepal T20 League recently picking up 17 wickets. The spin department will revolve around Sandeep Lamichanne and Lalit Rajbanshi with good support from Dipendra Airee. Overall, they have a good squad on paper and will be keen to put up some good performances.

Nepal's previous outing at the T20 World Cup in 2024 saw them eliminated in the group stage with no wins from four games. They fought really well against South Africa and Bangladesh in the previous tournament. Nepal are placed in Group C and will play against England, West Indies and Italy. They will start their tournament on February 8 when they face England. All matches of Nepal are scheduled to be played in Mumbai.
