Olympic Gold medallist Neeraj Chopra is having a gala time throwing his javelin in the best of the tournaments around the world. Although Neeraj missed his participation in Commonwealth Games 2022, the Tokyo Olympic champions compensated for it with his historic victory at the Dimond League competition where he bagged the gold.

While Neeraj has significantly improved his game, he has also been working really hard in improving his English. In his latest interaction with a journalist, Neeraj was asked about his improvised speaking English skills and the star javelin thrower responded the question with an honest answer.

"I am aware of the fact that my English is not up to the mark, but I try my best to make sense. It has improved a lot with talking to my coach. I know that athletes are a global sport and in order to reach everyone I need to be fluent in my English-speaking skills. I know that I can’t find a translator everywhere, so I try my best," said the star athlete.

Adding further, Neeraj said admitted that last year was a new experience for him, but balancing was a difficult one, but he has worked extensively on the same.

"It was difficult for me to balance but I have learned from last season. This time for the few commercial commitments I will give dates in advance. When the training time cones, I will fully focus on that. So that preparation is taken care of well," he added.

Speaking of Neeraj's performance in the current season, the Indian javelin thrower has secured the national record with an 89.30m throw at the Paavo Nurmy Games in June 2022. He then went on to win the World Championship silver medal becoming the only Indian to do so.
