Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh recently opener on relationship with his father Yograj Singh. Having made his India debut at age 18 years of age, Yuvraj believes he was pushed a lot and also revealed that he didn’t wanted his father to come and see him play. Notably, Yograj, who has played one Test and six ODIs for India is known for his strict behavior and even turns out to be harsh on many occasions.
In his recent interviewed with Curly Tales on YouTube, Yuvraj Singh talked about his relationship with his father. “I definitely didn’t want my father to come and watch me play because if I got out, he would get angry with me, and then I was not allowed to hit the ball in the air when I was a kid. Neeche khelo, neeche khel kar run banao. He used to get very angry, so I said to him, ‘Aap matches mein mat aaya karo,’” Yuvraj said.

Further in the interview, Yuvraj Singh also revealed one of the best moments of his life when he saw his parents coming together to pick him up at the airport. Notably, Yuvraj’s parents are separated but came to see him after his incredible performance against Australia which made the cricketer feel that his performance brought his parents together.
“When I scored 84 against Australia in the first match and after the tournament, both my parents, who were separated by then, came to receive me at the airport. I think that was one of the most amazing moments in my life; my performance actually got them back together just to meet, and I remember having hugged them both at the airport. We still have the picture that came in the newspaper. So for a kid, it’s amazing when you see your parents together," Yuvraj said.
