Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has been an inspiration for many in India including celebrities and other sports legends. Recently, India's legendary tennis player Leander Paes revealed that the ODI World Cup 2011 and 2007 T20 World Cup-winning Indian captain MS Dhoni is his favourite player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and related it to his name.
After winning the IPL 2023 and levelling Mumbai Indians as the most successful IPL teams with five titles each, the 42-year-old Dhoni will be leading the defending champions, CSK, in the upcoming season.
In an Instagram Q&A session, a fan asked Leander Paes to name his favourite player in IPL. The 50-year-old tennis legend shared a picture of himself with MS Dhoni from their 2019 charity football match training on his Instagram story and wrote, "There is a reason I have 7 letters in my name."
