Former English cricketer Michael Vaughan took his words back after India won the first T20I against England by seven wickets at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday, January 22. Notably, ahead of the first T20I of a five-match series, Vaughan replied to a fan on X where he predicted that England will win the series by 3-2. However, after the first T20I in Kolkata, the former cricketer said that his prediction was wrong and also mentioned that spin will play a big role for India in a series win.

Ahead of the first T20I, a user asked Michael Vaughan asked “What's ur prediction for #IndiavsEnglandt20” on X. After that, Abhishek Sharma smashed a fiery 79 runs as India chased the target comfortably. After the match, Vaughan came up with another post on X where he wrote “This series prediction I have got wrong … Spin to win for India #INDvsENG.”
