Tennis legend Roger Federer made a special appearance at the Laver Cup on Friday, September 22. Federer took part in a special Q&A session at the tournament, where he drew curtains on his tennis career in an emotional farewell a year ago. During the session, another tennis great Rafael Nadal asked a cheeky question to the Swiss star, whose response left everyone in splits. The rivalry between Federer and Nadal considered as one of the most legendary in the global sporting history, and the pair is popularly called as 'Fedal' among tennis fans.
Despite a strong on-court rivalry, both tennis greats share a great friendship off the field. The glimpse of it was seen on day one of the Laver Cup 2023, when Nadal appeared during the question-answer round and asked a cheeky question to the 20-time Grand Slam winner. While the question was enough to leave everyone in splits, the reply by the former tennis player didn’t hold himself back and gave a similar reply to Nadal.

The Swiss star, who was the guest of honour at the Laver Cup on Friday was asked to name his favourite doubles partner. Federer, who was finding it difficult to hold back his laughter, came up with a suitable reply and said, "I mean, I mean…I thought it was my wife! Until this guy showed up. So yeah, Rafa can have it!"
The reply left everyone in splits, describing the bond the tennis greats share. Speaking of it, the players have locked horns on 40 occasions on the ATP Tour, where Nadal has a 24-16 lead, including 14-10 lead in the finals.
