The ongoing FairBreak Invitational tournament has been an entertaining affair between bat and ball. Cricket fans have been treated with power-packed performances and mouth-watering endings to the matches in the T20 tournament. However, a day before fans were treated with something really interesting but unusual to women's cricket.
Tornadoes Women's all-rounder Sita Rana Magar did the famous 'Pushpa' celebration with 'hand under chin' gesture to celebrate the wicket of Saphires Gaby Lewis during a match. Even, Tornadoes' Sophie Divine joined her and made a similar gesture while celebrating the wicket in the 13th over of the innings. Notably, Magar finished the game with an impressive figure of 4-0-19-1.
In a fresh development, Magar's new video is doing the rounds on social media where the all-rounder from Nepal can be seen explaining the meaning behind a widely popular celebration from the South Indian movie 'Pushpa: The Rise.' According to Magar, the gesture means that 'I will never bow down despite any circumstances and situation', which signifies the struggle of Nepali people, who are often regarded as brave people.
She said, "I relate with that celebration a lot. It means I'll never succumb to any situation, and we Nepali people believe in it. We are fighters and know how to rise above all.'

Speaking of the match, Tornadoes Women comprehensively defended 119 runs as they restricted opponents to 102/8 in their 20 overs of the game. Diana Beg emerged as the most successful bowler as she picked two wickets and conceded only 15 runs in her four overs. Winifred Duraisingam was the other bowler who clinched two wickets in the game, while Magar returned with a single wicket.
On the other hand, the Pushpa celebration has gained global attention ever since the movie was released earlier this year. Several cricketers were seen channelising their inner Allu Arjun (lead actor) by imitating his famous gestures from the movie to celebrate their performances. David Warner, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle and many more joined the list of elite sportsmen who made the 'Main Jhukega Nahi' gesture.
