The IPL 2021 Auction which happened last month saw a lot of exciting players getting huge contracts for the upcoming season. Among those players, one of them who stood out was Shivam Dube as he was signed by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping amount of INR 4.4 crore. The all-rounder, whose base price was only INR 50 lakh, went on to become the third-most expensive signing among Indian players.

The cricketer from Mumbai notably played the last two seasons with Royal Challengers Bangalore. He did not have a really successful time at RCB as he scored 169 runs in 15 matches with only 4 wickets to his name.

Can Dube finally unleash his potential?

The 27-year-old is one of the most explosive cricketers in Indian domestic circuit. He has an incredible record to his name, having hit 5 sixes in an over twice in his career. While Dube did that once in the Mumbai T20 League against spinner Pravin Tambe, he did that again in a Ranji Trophy match against Baroda on the bowling of Swapnil Singh.

During an Instagram live session on Wednesday, Dube revealed that he would definitely try to repeat his heroics in the upcoming season of IPL. On being asked by fans about the same, Shivam stated, "I will surely try to hit 6 sixes in an over in IPL 2021." The 27-year-old also went on to add that he will also try to play some match-winning knocks for Rajasthan Royals and will even try his best to score a century.

Shivam Dube really excited for IPL 2021

During IPL 2021, the 27-year-old will have an opportunity to learn from one of the best all-rounders in the world in the form of Ben Stokes. Reflecting on the same, Dube said, "Stokes is the best all-rounder in the world. I can't say anything else about him. I am really excited to see him so closely."

Apart from this, Dube revealed that former India captain MS Dhoni is his all-time favourite cricketer. He also termed Kagiso Rabada as the best bowler he has ever faced in his career. Interestingly, Dube will have an opportunity to play against both these star cricketers in IPL 2021. It will be really interesting to see if the exciting all-rounder can live up to his potential and deliver a season to remember for Rajasthan Royals.
