The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the fixtures involving UAE and Ireland for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022. The tournament is set to be staged in Australia, who also happen to be the defending champions having lifted the preceding T20 World Cup staged in the Middle East.

Notably, UAE and Ireland booked their place for the marquee event after registering win over Nepal and Oman respectively in the semifinals of the qualifying event. With UAE beating Ireland in the final, they have sealed their place in the Group A of the first round, having been grouped alongside Sri Lanka and Namibia and are also set to be joined by the runner-up from Qualifier B which will be held in Zimbabwe in June.

Similarly, Ireland will be in Group B of the first round which also has West Indies and Scotland. In addition, the winner of Qualifier B will also join them.

Sunday, October 16, 2022, 7 pm AEDT: UAE v Runner-up from Qualifier B

Tuesday, October 18, 2022, 7 pm AEDT: Sri Lanka v UAE

Thursday, October 20, 2022: 7 pm AEDT: Namibia v UAE

Ireland Fixtures – Bellerive Oval, Hobart

Monday, October 17, 2022, 7 pm AEDT: Ireland v Winner from Qualifier A

Wednesday, October 19, 2022, 3 pm AEDT: Scotland v Ireland

Friday, October 21, 2022, 3 pm AEDT: West Indies v Ireland.

Notably, the T20 World Cup this year is set to commence on October 16 with the final scheduled on November 13. The top eight sides will get the benefit of beginning their campaign directly in the Super 12 stage of the competition. The other tams will have to fight it out in the group stages to proceed to the Super 12s.
