Royal Challengers Bangalore gave their IPL 2023 a great start by taking down Mumbai Indians by a huge 8-wicket margin at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on April 2. Virat Kohli stole the show with his ferocious knock of unbeaten 82 off 49 balls, which included five massive sixes and six fours. The brilliant knock played by Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli helped RCB chase down the target of 172 runs with 22 balls to spare.

Talking about how RCB has never managed to lift the trophy, Virat Kohli in the latest episode of RCB Insider said that RCB is a big name, and it is the reason people have higher expectations from them. In the same episode, Kohli also added that the social media presence of the team is commendable.

Talking more on this, Kohli gave a blunt reply to trollers who have been mocking the Bangalore-based franchise for their trophy drought. The Indian batter said how people mock them but are unaware of the kind of pressure they go through. Not only this, he also said that their huge fan following speaks that they are a big team and not a simple and ordinary one.

"This is big franchise pressure. Lot of people take it as all fun and games like 'This team doesn't win'. Come and play, when there are so many expectations. We're a big team. Otherwise, why would we have so many fans if we were some faltu team," Kohli added.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore will next lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on April 6 (Thursday).
