The Five time Premier League winner with Manchester City and Former International German Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan states that he is very happy to be at Man City and claims that he still has many years left in him to play top tier football. He states that he still “enjoys his football and is committed to the competition” as per Fabrizio Romano.
Gundogan scored a brace in City’s thumping win over Al Ain, this helped Manchester City in securing the place in the Round of 16 in the Club World Cup. The 34 year old is a potential target for the club Galatasaray having one year remaining in his contract with Manchester city.
Aim for keeping on playing at the highest level
Gundogan is looking to secure his spot at Man City by keeping on pushing hard and competing with the youngsters for a place in the lineup. He says that “I am enjoying my football, “I still believe that I have several years left in me at the highest level by taking good care of myself”
Gundogan made a statement that “every game is a joy” while asked about how it is working with Pep Guardiola. The German Midfielder helped City to clinch the treble in the 22/23 season in which Gundogan was the Captain after former captain Fernandinho bid goodbye to Manchester City.
