India veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane is representing Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 and his massive innings clearly speak for the fact that he is enjoying the season with the four-time champions and the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He is clearly making the most of the opportunity of playing under the former India skipper. The CSK batter looks forward to learning a lot during his association with the Chennai-based franchise. He also praised Dhoni for his experience and leadership to manage the team in an exemplary way.
In a video posted by Chennai Super Kings on social media, Rahane can be seen saying that he won’t give inputs to Dhoni. Having led a team in one of the previous editions of the IPL himself, Rahane said that the CSK skipper has time and again proved himself as an efficient leader. He said, "Coming here and playing under MS (Dhoni) again, for me, it's a very big thing. I am going to learn a lot from him for sure. But giving inputs to MS, I am not too sure about that."
He further went on to say, "He is experienced, and we all know that he is the leader. He manages it really well. He understands the game really well. One thing I am sure about is that I will learn a lot from him this season."

He also talked about how he manages a team whenever he has been the captain. Adding further he said, "My first captain was MS Dhoni, and I learned a lot from him, from his captaincy and leadership. When I was the captain, or whenever I led a team, for me, it was all about managing each and every individual differently. Because each individual has a different method and playing style. So, for me, it's all about having a one-on-one conversation."
Notably, Rahane was signed by the Chennai-based franchise at his base price of INR 50 lakh, for the IPL 2023. The veteran batter has been nothing less than a revelation for CSK this season, as he has scored 266 runs from eight innings averaging at 38.00 and a strike rate of 171.61. The Chennai-based team will clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, May 14 at the Chepauk Stadium, Chennai.
