MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have had a good start this season in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They have won 2 games out of 3 and are currently placed at second in the points table with 4 points. While the youngsters have stood up, veteran spinner Imran Tahir failed to get a place in the playing XI in all the 3 games they have played so far.

Imran Tahir is one of the best spinners in world cricket as well as of the three-time IPL champions CSK. while fans are missing him in yellow, one of the users took to Twitter and enquired when he will play. To which the veteran gave a heart-warming reply.

Tahir took to Twitter and replied that the best eleven players are playing and performing for the team as well. He also shared that he was extremely proud of being a part of the CSK team and he will give his best whenever gets the chance.

"Thank you, sir. Best players are in the field and they are delivering and they should continue for the team’s benefit. It’s not about me. It’s about the team. I am extremely proud to be a part of this wonderful team. If I am needed some time I will give my best for the team," tweeted Tahir.

Notably, Imran Tahir has been a part of the CSK franchise since 2018. He has so far played 58 IPL matches and has scalped 80 wickets. For CSK, he has appeared in 26 matches and has claimed 33 wickets. He was part of the CSK team that won the IPL title in 2018.

He last played for CSK on 1st November 2020 against the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in the UAE.
