Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is the leading goalscorer for his side and the reigning FWA Footballer of the year. Although Salah is goalless in his last six games and has netted just three in his last 17 appearances, he still tops the chart of most goals and assists in the Premier League this season.

In one of his recent interviews, Salah has rated himself as the best in his position in the world. While speaking to beIN Sports, the Liverpool strike said, "If you compare me with any player in my position and in the world, you will find that I am the best." He further cited his numbers as proof of his claims and stated that he likes to make a difference and always tries something new.

Despite the dip in his recent form, the Egypt international footballer was bestowed with 2022 Football Writer's Association Footballer of the year last month. The 29-year-old winger has scored 30 goals and provided 16 assists from 48 appearances across all competitions for the side so far. Salah's performance is one vital aspect of why Liverpool remains in contention to complete a historic quadruple.

The Reds are currently second in the points table and require Manchester City to lose at least one of their remaining games to win the title. Jurgen Klopp's side will travel to Wembley to face Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday before facing Southampton and Wolves in our final league games. Salah has already guided the Reds to win the EFL Cup this season.

The Egyptian will hope to bag more titles with Jurgen Klopp before the campaign closes at the end of this month. Liverpool has also made their way into the UEFA Champions League final, with the side scheduled to take on Real Madrid on 28 May. With Salah's form, the Egyptian player will be the top contender for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award this year.
