Chasing this total, India got off to a topsy-turvy start as Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed 11 off the first over before Ruturaj Gaikwad got out on a diamond duck. Soon Jaiswal also got out at 21 in eight balls when Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav got to work and posted a crucial 112-run stand.

Though Kishan got out at 58 in 39 balls, SKY continued scoring for one end as he reached his half-century. Batting with Tilak Varma and Rinku Singh, Surya's carnage continued as he smashed 80 in 41 balls before getting out in the 18th over.
