It is to be noted that Green suffered a fracture in his finger during the Boxing Day Test against South Africa last year. However, in Pat Cummins latest media address it was confirmed that the Aussie all-rounder will not be bowling in the Nagpur Test. But his participation in the opening Test still remains unclear.

“I know he won’t be bowling (in the first Test),” Cummins said while talking to foxsports.com.au. “The next week’s obviously really important. He hasn’t been able to do a lot yet. I think the nature of that particular injury is once it comes good, it comes good really quickly,” Cummins further added.

Australia squad for India Tests:  Pat Cummins (captain), Ashton Agar, Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Peter Handscomb, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Lance Morris, Todd Murphy, Matthew Renshaw, Steve Smith (vice-captain), Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Swepson, David Warner
