After clinching the five-match T20I series 4-1 against Australia at home, the Men in Blue have now headed to South Africa for a multi-format series. The Proteas Men will host India in the first of the three-match T20I series at the Kingsmead in Durban to kick off their home summer of cricket.

While the Men in Blue clinched their first T20I series under Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy, they will aim to continue this winning run in the rainbow nation. On the other hand, the Proteas haven’t played much cricket with their recent outing being the ODI World Cup 2023 early last month. Despite the lack of game time in the build-up, South Africa is expected to pose a tough challenge in front of the high-flying side.
Looking forward to the opening game of the three-match T20I series, the weather in Durban is expected to be marred by rains. Talking about the weather during the day, the temperature is likely to be cool with considerable cloudiness and probability of precipitation being around 55 per cent. The cloud cover is likely to be all throughout the day with 13.3 mm of precipitation expected, as per Accuweather.
However, there is expected to be a bit of rain later during the day with probability of precipitation being around 59 per cent. With considerable showers, wither a delayed start or rain interruptions are likely to hamper the first T20I between South Africa and India.
