After 3-match ODI series between India and West Indies, the action shifted to the shortest format of the game. In the first T20I game, West Indies bowled brilliantly and restricted men-in-blue for 145 runs. With this, West Indies team managed to take 1-0 lead in 5-match T20I series.
Batting first, West Indies managed to score 149 runs for the loss of 6 wickets with Yuzvendra Chahal picking 2 for 24 runs. In reply, Indian team never really got the momentum and kept losing wickets. In the end, India lost the game game by 4 runs.
In the first T20 International, debutant Tilak Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal were stars for team India. The left-hand batter, Tilak Verma smashed 39 off 22 balls. On the other hand, Yuzvendra Chahal picked 2 for 24 runs in 3 overs.
The second T20I between two sides will be played on Sunday at Guyana National Stadium. It will be interesting to see if India can manage to make a comeback and level the series 1-1.
