For all the Indian cricket fans waiting with bated breath to have a glimpse of Team India's jersey for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, 2022, there is some good news. The new jersey is all set to be unveiled on September 18, Sunday. The same has been confirmed by the official social media handle of the Indian cricket team as well as the team's official kit sponsors MPL.

The announcement makes it clear that the jersey will be revealed on the official Instagram handle of MPL which is   @mplsport at 8 pm (Indian Standard Time).

India's squad for T20 World Cup:

Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.

Standby players - Mohd. Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Chahar.

Before the marquee event in Australia which starts next month, India will be hosting Australia and South Africa. Fast bowler Shami has been ruled out of the Australia T20Is after testing positive for COVID-19. In his absence, Umesh Yadav is reportedly set to be named in the team, although an official announcement regarding the same is awaited. The first of the three-match T20I series between India and Australia is on September 20.
