After a grueling 2023 season and a historic Asian Games gold medal win, the Women in Blue will commence the 2024 season with the Australia series, set to kick start on 21 December 2023. Continuing it from December 2023, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will play Australia Women in a multi-format series until January 9 before they don their WPL jerseys for the 2024 edition of the T20 tournament.
SportsTiger further confirms that the Women’s T20 World Cup is all set to kick start at the end of September 2024 with top ten teams, including the likes of Australia, England, South Africa eyeing for the ICC title glory in Asian country of Bangladesh. After the World Cup in Bangladesh, the Women in Blue will also tour Australia for three-match ODI series in December 2024, followed by a limited-overs series against West Indies in the Caribbean, starting December 2024.
