Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi passed away at age of 100 in Ahmedabad on Friday (December 30). Her last rites were performed at the cremation ground in Gandhinagar early this morning. The Prime Minister posted a heartfelt message on Twitter after the demise of her mother.
"A glorious century rests at the feet of God... In Maa, I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values," Prime Minister tweeted on Friday morning.
He further informed that his mother told him to 'work with intelligence, live life with purity' when Prime Minister visited her mother on her 100th birthday. Meanwhile, Indian cricket fraternity has also expressed their heartfelt condolences on the demise of late Heeraben Modi.
