Indian ace shuttler duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty reached men's doubles final of the Indonesia Open 2023 in Jakarta on June 17, Saturday. The Indian duo took down the Korean duo of Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Seung Jae 18-21, 21-19, 21-18 in the semifinal of the tournament. The men's doubles semifinal clash lasted an hour and seven minutes, and the Indian duo made a stunning comeback into the game after losing first set 17-21 to their rivals.

Throughout the game, there were several instances when the Indian duo had failed to return several serves by their Korean rivals, and it is something that both the players would have to be careful about in the final summit.  With their victory in the semifinal round, they have become the first ever Indian pair to reach the final of any Super 1000 event.

The duo had defeated World No.1 Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto in straight games to sail into the men's doubles of the Indonesia Open semifinal. The number six seeded Satwik-Chirag duo will lock horns with the winner of the other semifinal between Indonesia’s Pramudya Kusumawardana and Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan and second seeds Aaron Chia and Wooi Yik Soh of Malaysia in their maiden World Tour Super 1000 final.
