Hyderabad have either lost games in a row or stitched wins together. While they lost back to back matches to begin their campaign, they then win a few matches together but head into this fixture on a four-match losing streak. They have a batting lineup that features Kane Williamson, Abishek Sharma, Nicholas Pooran, Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram. It is the form of their captain Williamson which remains their biggest concern along with the inconsistency shown by the likes of Sharma.
Their bowling too has immensely suffered in the last few matches. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natrajan and Umran Malik were an incredible bowling attack but they have only managed to pick eight wickets in the last three games. Sharma along with Markram have provided balance to the side but lack quality against top batters in great nick.
Kolkata too have had a disappointing season so far. The two-time champions have great potential but they haven't gelled well as a team. They have lost six out of their last eight games as the batting lineup with Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana and Andre Russell have completely misfired.
