Indus, a battle royale game from Pune’s SuperGaming studio has introduced a new playable character, dubbed as “Mech Balika”. The character is said to have its inspiration from Rajasthan’s famous art - Kathputli, a string puppet theatre form.

With strings attached here to in the game, Mech Balika, the character is said to be for the sole purpose of entertainment, but her real identity is revealed at the end of the trailer which sees Mech Balika release her steel claws and tears down every string attached to her in order to control her actions. The newly introduced character’s main goal in the Indus battle royale is to find the Cosmium.

Notably, this comes after the game introduced a character named “Pokhran” in its Diwali update. The character was revealed in a viral trailer launched on Indus Game’s YouTube channel.

“Mythwalkers here’s your newest Avatar, Mech Balika, a robot designed to entertain and dance to the will of her creators. Until she chose not to. She broke those chains of control and command. Mech Balika has taken fight with her creators to Indus, that’s where they are. Looking for Cosmium. But Mech Balika is going to find it first,” read the description of the character.

It is to be noted that the game hasn’t rolled out yet but the pre-registration for Indus Battle Royale are available on Google Play Store.
