IPL 2021 will kick-start on Friday in Chennai with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season-opener.

All the games will be played at neutral venues behind closed doors. After nearly two long years, the extravaganza will return to India with Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata hosting the cash-rich league. Last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the tournament was contested in the UAE.
