Lucknow Super Giants have beaten Delhi Capitals comfortably by 50 runs in match number 3 of IPL 2023 with the help of Kyle Mayers brilliant fifty and stunning five wicket haul from Mark Wood. Initially, DC winning the toss invited LSG to bat first and they posted a big total of 193/6 in 20 overs with the help of Kyle Mayers stunning 73 run knock and Nicholas Pooran's 36 from just 21 balls.
DC in run-chase kept losing wickets at regular intervals and they were never in contention to chase this total once Mark Wood bowled a fiery spell to dismiss both Prithvi Shaw and Mitchell Marsh in two consecutive deliveries. Mark Wood was breathing fire as he kept bowling at a very high speed regularly and completely his bowling destroyed the Delhi batting line-up single handedly.
