IPL 2023 Mini Auction: Joe Root goes UNSOLD in his first IPL Auction

Former England cricketer Joe Root has gone unsold in his very first IPL Auction. The England all-rounder who was registered at the base price of INR 1 Crore, went without any bid on Friday (23 December) in Kochi.

The England all-rounder along with Rilee Rossouw went unsold in the first set which featured batters. However, talking about the biggest buys in the IPL 2023 Mini Auction, Sam Curran went for a record breaking price. The Punjab Kings completed the bid of the England all-rounder, who was bought at the price of IPL 18.5 Crore.

 

The second highest bid was made on Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, which was bought by Mumbai Indians at INR 17.5 Crore. Ben Stokes also went for INR 16.25 Crore by the Chennai Super Kings.
