Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by four wickets in a thrilling match to keep their playoff hope alive in the IPL 2023. PBKS posted 187/5 in 20 overs with the help of good innings from Sam Curran, Jitesh Sharma, and Shahrukh Khan. Among RR bowlers, Navdeep Saini picked key wickets of Atharva Taide, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma to end with figures of 3/40 in four overs.
RR chased down 188 runs in the second innings with the help of fifties from Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Devdutt Padikkal while Shimron Hetmyer played a stellar knock by scoring 46 runs from just 28 balls. Riyan Parag smashed two back-to-back sixes off the final over bowled by Kagiso Rabada and at the end, Dhruv Jurel finished off the proceedings for RR in the 20th over of the game.
